Meet Alex: The Guy Behind the Name
Alex’s story begins with a wrench in one hand and big dreams in the other. Growing up in Sabac, Serbia, he was fascinated by all things cars. At just 14, he dove headfirst into a panel-beating apprenticeship, learning the trade from the ground up. Over the years, Alex perfected his craft, working on countless vehicles and climbing the ranks wherever he went.
But it didn’t stop there. Alex was also determined to excel in his education, enrolling in a competitive Technical Vocational School. His hard work and talent earned him the title of “Best Student of the Generation,” setting the stage for a career that’s all about quality and precision.
Today, Alex Certification Ltd. is built on those same values—passion, expertise, and a dedication to doing the job right. We’re here to help you every step of the way, so let’s get started!
From Serbia to New Zealand: Alex’s Journey of Mastering the Art of Repair
After nearly two decades in Serbia perfecting his panel-beating craft, Alex got an exciting opportunity in 2015 to join View Road Panel & Paint in Auckland, New Zealand. It all started with a short meeting where the owner, impressed by Alex’s reputation and expertise, knew he had to bring him on board.
Throughout his career, Alex has focused on substantial damage and structural repairs, both in Serbia and New Zealand. At View Road Panel & Paint, his work involved repairing Australian statutory write-offs and New Zealand written-off vehicles. From Japanese and Korean cars to European and American models, Alex has tackled them all—trucks, vans, SUVs, hybrids, and even electric vehicles. He’s also no stranger to fire-damaged and water-affected vehicles, adding to his vast experience.
Always eager to learn, Alex dove into the educational side of his profession, attending a variety of I-CAR courses and earning a prestigious Silver Recognition. He also had the privilege of working alongside seasoned certifying professionals who shared their knowledge of New Zealand’s automotive rules and regulations. This experience fueled Alex’s passion for deepening his understanding, motivating him to earn a National Certificate in Motor Industry (Levels 3 and 4).
In November 2020, all of Alex’s hard work paid off when he was appointed as a Light Vehicle Repair Certifier after passing NZTA’s rigorous assessment. Today, he’s proud to use his wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience to ensure vehicles are repaired and certified to the highest standard.
